Overview

A six-membered saturated ring containing two ether oxygens.

The oxygens occupy opposite positions in the ring and neither carries hydrogen. They provide hydrogen-bond acceptor sites without alcohol or phenol donor groups. The structure is a cyclic diether, not a diol.
