A terminal alkene that illustrates the limits of geometric isomerism.
One carbon of its double bond bears two hydrogen atoms, so the alkene cannot form an E/Z pair. Compare it with but-2-ene: changing the double-bond position creates different substituents at both double-bond carbons and allows geometric stereoisomers.
